Central France tourist attractions. The Allier in the region of the Auvergne. It's capital is Moulins and it's other famous town is Vichy, organisational centre for the Germans in the War. Here is a selection of some tourist attractions worth a visit. More info on this page coming soon.


LE PAL - WATER PARK AND ZOO
Le Pal is near Saint-Pourcain-sur-Bresbre, south-east of Moulins, 60km north of Vichy. This a a great family visitor attraction suitable for all ages. It's a water-park come zoo, come small theme park. It's about 18€ entry, but everything inside is free (apart from refreshments). You don't need to take a towel as you don't get that wet - a few splashes maybe. There are plenty of places to get eats and drinks, so best to "travel light" and enjoy the rides. There's plenty for little children including animal farm, zoo, and train rides etc. There is a bird display and seal-lion display as well. Here's some photos to give you an idea of what it's like. Don't go on August bank holiday like I did - 40 minute queues for everything! There are closed days in low and mid season, so check their website for more details (www.lepal.com). Advise visiting school-days, before 5th July or after 5th September. Other than that, be prepared to queue for some of the main rides.
